My deepest condolences on the loss of Moses. What a wonderful and uplifting man. We will miss him greatly.

To Mrs. Abdeddine, his mother: please know Moses talked of you very often. A few weeks ago, he spoke to me for about an hour concerning the tremendous support you provided him through the years he was at the university. Moses deeply treasured you and shared several stories. Most notably, he spoke of how he would sometimes come home from classes tired, downtrodden, and missing home. He said he would then talk to you, or just think of you, and his spirit would be instantly lifted. Moses said he would then just forget whatever matter was causing him distress. He elaborated that as a consequence of your shared relationship, he would become completely happy and willing to strike out anew with the knowledge that he could, and must, succeed in the US because you believed in him.

Likewise, Moses related that one of the primary reasons he held onto to his Jeep throughout the years was that it reminded him with poignancy of his younger days and the quiet, but always present strength of his parents and who he should strive to be as a man. More than anything, Moses said, he wanted his family to know he loved them and for them to be proud of him.

Moses also spoke to me very often of Scripture and his faith. When things were a little stressful, he sometimes would say that "faith and family are who we are; work and hobbies are what we do." We who worked beside him know that Moses was a fine man secure in his beliefs, a true patriot, and a good friend. He will live on in our memory forever. Thank you for sharing him.

How can we articulate the unspeakable for heartfelt celebratory thanks to our beloved friend? Thanks for all the years of sunshine you bestowed on our lives. The author of “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” suggested that there are four enduring themes in life. They are to live, love, learn and leave a legacy. Moses your life epitomized Covey's concept of life. Thanks for the Christian values you shared us which enriched our lives. As we reflect on what you shared, we remember the eros, philia, and agape loves you shared with your co-workers.

We love you and will miss your joyful smile and laughter. Rest in peace and someday we hope to join you in heaven.

For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance

I was deeply saddened by the the news of Moses death. Moses was not only a coworker, he was my running mentor and friend. I will always remember his infectious smile and his determination. Moses was the Master of Compliments, and handed them out freely. My heartfelt condolence to his family, his wonderful children Adam and Stephanie, and his lovely fiancé Cristin, in this time of great loss.

For Cristin: I saw you are his fiance...you are very very special, Cristin, I know it does not really help at the moment, but Moses loved you and because he did you have to move on...slowly...I know there are no words for the pain you feel right now, but you will manage, because he will always be with you, he will always be with you, trust...
